Vespers Service

Three practices that are important to the Christian spiritual life in relationship with God are prayer, singing, and silence. These three practices are combined into a weekly prayer service called Vespers. Vespers is a contemplative Taizé-inspired prayer service offered at First Presbyterian Church of Santa Rosa on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 pm. During this service, short pieces of music are repeatedly and prayerfully sung, enabling the words to deeply resonate in the lives of participants. The instrumental and vocal accompaniment are stylistically contemporary and improvisatory. Vespers is offered as a resource for mid-week contemplative spiritual practice. Come join
