Worship is a verb!
We connect with God through poetic expression of faith vocalized in song; admission of need spoken in prayer; and hearing Scripture and its exposition. We value the sacredness of silence as much as our celebration of God with praise. Worship is a “life changing encounter with the living God in Jesus Christ!”

Ash Wednesday
We begin observance of Lent with quiet, reflective worship and pray for a spirit of humility. The practice of applying ashes on the forehead reminds us of our frailty and finality and need for God’s salvation. This bold symbol of identification with Jesus marks us as his follower. In applying ashes in the form of the cross, the minister says, Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return. Repent and believe the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7:00 to 8:30 a.m. drop-in worship with a devotional format for contemplation, silent prayer, and receiving ashes (for those who desire) or a pastoral prayer.
6:00 p.m. candlelit worship features a three-fold invitation to confession, the cross, and communion with music, scripture, and prayer. Worshippers receive ashes or a pastoral prayer. Childcare provided.
