Questions for Reflection
- The word “hypocrite” appears three times in today’s text from Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. In what way is the word related to the world of arts and entertainment?
- What common guidance does Jesus provide for those who engage in fasting, charitable giving, and prayer as spiritual exercises or acts of piety?
- What additional guidance does Jesus provide about prayer? How might you apply Jesus’ teaching about prayer to your own life?
