Martin discovered his love for mathematics while in college. He taught in the public schools for 44 years, 37 of them at SRJC. He has found that many people view mathematics as cold and sterile, not possessing a soul. Can the patterns and connections to others and nature in mathematics strengthen our spiritual perspective? In this talk, Martin will tell of his experiences of attempting to breathe life into his discipline while sharing his love for the subject.
