 Children’s Choirs

We want to give children the opportunity to worship, grow, and serve through music.

  •  Sonshine Singers ~ Choir for grades 1-3.  The Sonshine Singers rehearse Wednesdays, 4:45 to 5:30 p.m. in Room 210 beginning September 7th.
  • Psalm Singers ~ Choir for grades 4-6. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:40 p.m. in Room 201 beginning September 7th.The Sonshine and Psalm Singers sing in Sunday morning worship several times a year, present a concert in the fall, and sing at special events such as the Advent Wreath-Making Festival and Christmas Eve Services.  It is our prayer that the words of the songs the choirs sing, which speak the truth of God’s love for them and His desire for them to take His love to the world, will be planted in their hearts forever.
  • Celebration Ringers ~ Open to grades 3-6. The ringers rehearse Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m. in Room 209 beginning September 7th.  The Celebration Ringers learn basic musicianship, including how to read music and work together in a music ensemble.  The ringers play several times a year in worship and at other events.
  • Intermediate Chimes/Handbell Choir ~ Open to grades 5-12, based on musical experience.  The choir learns how to read music and develop handbell technique.  Rehearsals are on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in Room 209, beginning September 18th.  The Ringers will play several times in worship and events throughout the season.
  • Gloria Deo ~ Open to singers in grades 7-12. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 4:30 PM. Gloria Deo sings in worship several times each season and occasionally at events in the community.
  • Spirit Live Choir ~ Open to developmentally disabled older teens and adults. Spirit Live rehearses on Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 210 beginning September 6th and sings in the community and presents two concerts a year.


Adult Choirs

  • Chancel Choir ~ Open to all singers, high school through adult.  We rehearse on Thursdays at 7:15 p.m. beginning September 8th.  Chancel Choir sings three to four times a month, September to June, and in special worship services and events.  The Chancel Choir learns and sings a variety of styles of music from the traditional anthem to spirituals and contemporary music.
  • Choral Ensemble ~ Open to high school through adults by audition, as openings become available.  Call Bob Brazeau to arrange for an audition. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6:00 PM.
  • Chancel Handbell Choir ~ Open to high school-adults. Call Bob Brazeau to arrange an interview. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 6:00 PM.
  • Spirit Singers ~ A ministry for the homebound and hospitalized.  Open to high school students through adults by audition, as openings become available.

 

Singing Christmas Tree

Rehearsals for The Singing Christmas Tree begin October 13th.  If you would like to join the Chancel Choir for the Christmas Season contact Bob Brazeau.  Choir rehearsals are on Thursdays evenings at 7:15 p.m.  The Singing Christmas Tree will be presented December 10th and 11th at 4:30 and 7:00 p.m.
