Sundays and Children at First Pres
Our teachers are trained and ready to receive your children, newborns through 6th grade. We are honored that you entrust them to us and you can be assured that policies and procedures are in place to keep your child physically, emotionally, and spiritually safe. You are ALWAYS welcome to visit our classrooms or stay in class with your child. You are also encouraged to make an appointment with CM staff to offer suggestions, seek guidance or prayer, or to just say, “Hello!” We look forward to getting to know you and your child!

Nursery and Toddler ~ 9:45 and 11:15 am
Our experienced and trained volunteers provide a baby-safe, clean, peaceful, and restful place for babies. When your child becomes a steady walker, we promote them to our toddler room where the environment is more stimulating and fun. Toddlers even have their own outside play area! For safety of our children and security for you as a parent, pagers are provided.

Preschool through Grade 6 ~ 9:45 am
Preschool ~ Kingdom Kids
Preschoolers are READY to learn. Oh, how their eyes light up when they learn how God took care of baby Moses, and see that God takes care of them too! Their morning is filled with Bible songs and stories, creative crafts, puppets, and outside play on our preschool playground.
Kindergarten through Grade 3 ~ JUMP!
Small Groups + Full Body Worship + Creative Bible Telling = JUMP! You may hear us before you see us; we are that excited to worship, hear God’s word, and be together. Proverbs 3:5-6 is the foundation for JUMP! We want kids to TRUST in the Lord with ALL their heart, LEAN not on their own understanding, in all their ways ACKNOWLEDGE Him, so they are blessed by God making their PATHS STRAIGHT. We start in grade-based classrooms playing games and doing art activities. We all come together in Room 211 where we sing, praise God, and are presented with a clear and creative message. For the last 25 minutes, children move into small groups and talk about how the message they learned can be applied to their lives.
Grades 4, 5, and 6 ~ Cross Trainers
Children in grades 4, 5, and 6 are developmentally ready to go deeper. Their reading skills are solid, they engage in abstract thinking, and they are feeling the challenges of living out their faith away from church and family. Just as we need to train in order to play an instrument, dance, or excel at sports – we need training in our faith. Kids get this. We call it “Training versus Trying.” Children bring their Bibles each week and learn to look up passages, use maps, and participate in discussions targeted at their age levels.
Preschool through Grade 4 ~ 11:15 a.m.
Children ages four through grade 4 are invited to participate in Sunday School known as “Four by Four.” All children ages four and above attend worship with their parents in the Sanctuary. Children attending “Four by Four” are invited to join their classmates and Sunday School Teachers after the first set of songs. In their classroom they hear a Bible story and make crafts and visit the preschool playground before returning to the Sanctuary for the close of worship. Children in grades 5 and 6 are encouraged to remain in the Sanctuary with their parents.
