It’s  a  Wrap!

CLUB Paradise wrapped up our year last Wednesday night.  Since September, SEVENTY-EIGHT kids attended CLUB at least once, NINE amazing teenagers have mentored and demonstrated Christian faith to kids, EIGHT sixth graders have taken on peer leadership roles in youth group, and every Wednesday night this building has been swarming with energy and joy.

It’s been a year of questioning, exploring, and living out Jesus’ words and God’s love for us.  A huge thank you to all the CLUB parents who support us with snacks and prayer, and to the teenagers who volunteer their time each week.  We’re off for summer, but CLUB P. starts back up in September!

CLUB  Paradise  Is  Crazy  Fun!

CLUB Paradise is our crazy fun, Christ-centered group for fourth through sixth graders.  Our focus is on building lasting friendships with each other and cool teen leaders, and playing together as we study God’s word and seek to apply it to our day-to-day lives.  We also have a special Peer Leader program for interested sixth graders.  My focus at CLUB is not to entertain kids with a program, but rather to connect the kids in relationship both with “older” Christian mentors (teen leaders!), as well as each other. Each week I am privileged to watch CLUB kids getting to know teenagers, who are in turn growing in their own faith.  CLUB meets on Wednesday evenings at church, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. during the school year (September through April).
